Eating

  • Blue Groove is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • Croyde’s best ice creams can be found at The Hub. They also sell great pasties and sausage rolls including vegan options.

  • The Beach Cafe Downend is a fantastic edition to the food scene in Croyde. Sri Lankan curry at the weekend (to rival Barricane in our humble opinion) is a must.

  • For fine dining try New Coast Kitchen. We recommend booking as it’s very popular.

  • Biffen’s Kitchen can be found on Ocean Pitch campsite overlooking the beach beyond Ruda. Find Biffen’s menu of the week on Instagram.

  • Cluck Chicken can be found on Freshwell Camping also beyond Ruda on Moor Lane.

  • Croyde's famous pub, The Thatch, serves great pub grub. Just be sure to book as it gets very busy.

  • The Manor Inn. Lovely local pub with a great children’s play area.

  • Coffee and doughnuts or brunch at Heartbreak Hotel in Braunton is a special treat.

  • Find THE best fish & chips at Squires in Braunton.

  • Duck Dive (formally Hangloose) in Braunton for a world street food inspired menu, including lots of vegetarian and vegan options.

  • The fantastic Porthole is on Marine Drive behind the beach between Woolacombe and Putsborough. Take your own reusable cup, enjoy lunches, ice creams and delicious cakes. Find their opening hours on Instagram.

  • Eating curry on the beach at Barricane is an unforgettable experience.

  • If you’re after an extra special pub meal try The Rock or The Kings Arms in Georgeham.
